About the Artist

Artist of Kauai, Hawaii

Painter

Since moving to Kaua’i in 1994, Cynthia has immersed herself everyday in the world of art and nature,  gaining a deeper awareness of color, light and environment that is reflected in her artwork and lifestyle.   Originally from Buffalo New York, educated at Rochester Institute of Technology  in Communication Design, Cynthia worked in Computer Graphics & Publishing in Boston, MA. Once living on Kauai she was drawn to take her design skills outside into the 3 dimensional realm of garden design.  Here she found a new canvas on which to expand her sensibilities of color and composition.  Together, art and nature melded into a love for plein air painting.
